Rose Zenker

‘The Entomologist’

Rose’s work takes inspiration from 18th century cabinet’s of curiosities and Victorian natural history museums. Rose experiments with collection, display and labeling to make her own contemporary cabinet of curiosities.

Rose has created this installation as if looking through the eyes of an Entomologist who has become obsessed with their work. Beetles have started to breed in the cabinet and the insects have begun to escape their confines. The audience view the workspace while the Entomologist is away.
